Church Groups

We have many individuals who support our Church in many different ways and details of some of our groups are shown below.  If you feel you could contribute to one of these please contact us by clicking here

The Parochial Church Council (known as the PCC) is the executive committee of a Church of England parish and consists of clergy and churchwardens of the parish, together with representatives of the laity.

Legally the council is responsible for the financial affairs of the church parish, the maintenance of its assets and for promoting the mission of the church.

The people of St Michaels and of St Peter and St Andrews share a long tradition of bible study and are gradually beginning to recognise the additional benefits of following broad bible courses like ‘Rich Inheritance’ or other prepared courses.

They meet as friends and debate in a very open and friendly way, seeking truth. New opinions and ideas are always welcome.

St Michaels raise funds throughout the year with an energetic committee who put on a variety of inclusive events such as coffee mornings, fashion shows, BBQ's, music concerts, quizzes, afternoon teas and a Christmas craft fair to name a few.

The main fund raiser occurs at the beginning of September each year with the Church Fete held in Great Oakley Park.

The fund raising committee welcome new members and we are always looking for new fundraising ideas.
